Improvisational in nature, my work is evolutionary. My mixed media collages are made with cut up prints of my own photographs and/or prepared paper and acrylic paints. I choreograph as I go, building upon and flowing into the next brushstroke, coming up against paper atop paper..or paint.. with rhythmic interludes…The impulse of the movement informs my direction with tactile and visual cues to bring the piece to it’s resting place.
